The Kennedy Center For The Performing Art's "The Conservatory Project"

This week, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts -- rather than include a world-class music conservatory as part of its upwards toward a billion dollar expansion, entry plaza, and traffic reconfiguration plan (to be designed by the distinguished architect Raphael Vinoly) -- will host its ongoing "The Conservatory Project". All events are at 6 PM, are free, and are held in the Kennedy Center's intimate and beautiful Terrace Theater (upstairs and on the same hall as the Kennedy Center's Terrace Jazz Gallery). Here are the featured schools and ensembles:

Monday, February 13, 6 pm
The Conservatory Project: Manhattan School of Music
Escher String Quartet

Tuesday, February 14, 6 pm
The Conservatory Project: Indiana University Jacobs School of Music

Wednesday, February 15, 2006
The Conservatory Project: University of Michigan School of Music
Scenes from The Coronation of Poppea

Thursday, February 16, 6 pm
The Conservatory Project: Cleveland Institute of Music

Friday, February 17, 6 pm
