Belarus List Of The Odious Will Not Be Published

MINSK. June 8 (Interfax) - "Minsk has prepared a list of officials from the European Union and the U.S. who will be banned from entering Belarus, Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrei Popov said at a briefing in Minsk on Thursday.

The measure is a response to the ban on senior Belarusian officials entering the EU and U.S., Popov said.

"The list includes officials from the EU, the U.S. and other countries who officially joined the restrictions," the press secretary said. "The list includes the most odious political figures who have assessed the situation in Belarus in a pre-conceived way and created a distorted image of the political and economic situation in the country."

In addition, the list includes persons who "attempted to interfere in the internal affairs of Belarus during the election campaign."

The list will not be published, Popov said."
