Grodno, Belarus Hosts Festival Of National Cultures And Laser And Water Fairy Show On Banks Of Neman River

"The 6th All-Belarus Festival of National Cultures will open in Grodno [on June 2], ideology department head of Grodno region administration Vladimir Omelko told BelTA.

In his words, a parade of the festival participants will march through the city at 17:15. Representatives of 25 nationalities, all in all, over 700 people, will go along central streets of the city. Around 300 honourable guests from the CIS states, Poland, Lithuania, Germany, France, Italy and other countries will take part in the festival.

The festival will be solemnly opened at 18:00. The opening ceremony will be followed by a performance staged by delegations of national diasporas and musical bands of Grodno region. Young artists will perform national pop songs at 20:00 to be followed by Belarusian professional singers at 21:30.

The climax of the first day of the festival will be a laser and water fairy show on the banks of the river Neman at 23:30, Vladimir Omelko noted."...
