Remembering Rostropovich
The National Symphony Orchestra performs a free, special tribute concert in honor of the late conductor and cellist Mstislav Rostropovich who served as music director of the NSO from 1977 to 1994.
Further details at a later date.
Rostropovich playing his cello at the graffiti-saturated Western-side of the Berlin Wall in 1989; consciously aware that the eyes of recorded history were watching him.
