Stanford University Music Professors Brian Ferneyhough And Jonathan Berger Capture Music World Ax

Stanford University-based British Composer Brian Ferneyhough has won the International [not Globalist] Ernst von Siemens Music Prize, of 200,000 Euros (about $260,000). He, and the librettist Charles Bernstein, recently composed an experimental opera, Shadowtime, on the life of the German and Jewish philosopher and writer Walter Benjamin.
